After thinking and thinking of coming back to LJ and reminiscing about all my favorite memories and people here, and after being inspired about getting back into this place that used to be so wonderful to me, I'm coming back. I need this place like I used to need it, to write about my days and my secrets and to read about all of yours and to talk to one another and share with one another. I need all you girls in my life. This isn't just the internet. This is the place I would come to to write about all my problems and hear your advice, a place where the girls here were more my friends than anyone in real life. Maybe if I can reconnect with everyone here again, I won't feel so lonely!

So, if you are still here and you are still interested in reading about my silly little life and still want to be the best of friends, let me know so I can add you if I have not added you already! Most everything will be friends only from here on out. I'm excited to be back! And you should come back too.

What a slow slow day. I've had the apartment to myself this weekend which has made me depressed. Of course. I had been inside all day doing this and that. Breakfast and internet and reading and a nap and washing dishes and lunch and more internet and more reading and another nap. It all gave me a headache. I cried for a bit from being completely alone in this city, without Isaac. I knew I had to leave the apartment just for a little bit so I thought I'd go get a cappuccino.

In my neighborhood there is a fabulous Italian deli where you can pick up some sandwiches or buy Italian products and meats to take home. So earlier I got dressed and went for a stroll to this place which, as I found it, is so charming. And delicious.

Here I am...living in San Francisco, in an old but cute apartment, with an awesome girl. My parents just left yesterday after being here with me a week and now it's really starting to feel like I'm actually living here and not just visiting. Something I've wanted to do for years if you've been following my LJ ages ago. I miss my boy so much. Living in a big city is so tiring. You're always bustling around. And that's because I haven't even started classes yet or working!

Dear friends,
Today is a lazy Sunday. I am off today and don’t feel like doing things I should be doing like doing the laundry, cleaning my room or reading the hundreds of books I’ve got. I think I feel lazy because I ate a fantastically large ice cream cone filled with raspberry ice cream. So I am just going to lounge on my bed all day in my dark room. I also just posted all my most recent entries from my blog so I hope you enjoy all those food photos. Lately I've been doing nothing but baking. Today I have to make my new coworker from the library banana nut bread.

Anyway, keep me company through Formspring! Show me a song you can’t stop listening to lately. I was doing this last night on Facebook, like a series called Songs I Cannot Stop Listening To. My power to come up with witty or romantic names for things is zero…sorry. Or recommend me a book! Or just ask me really pointless questions! I don’t care dudes, just keep me companaaaaay.

Isaac and I hardly have Saturdays off, usually we are both working or one of us is working and the other is at home but we had so much fun this past Saturday because we both were off. Old favorite thrift stores I hadn't been to in awhile, peach cobbler, beautiful vintage apron and pillboxes, amazing little vintage picnic basket for $1.50, a used bookstore and old science fiction novels, taking Ender with us everywhere, picnic at the park on Mexican blankets, sandwiches and chips and iced tea, apples and bananas and music playing in the background. Summer camp and Deyarmond Edison and Children of the Moon and Lazaro and Alfonso el Pintor and Buffalo Moon and Taken by Trees. Cloud-gazing and sleepiness. I wish every Saturday could be like that. We want to do it again next Saturday except this time with all his friend which means even more Mexican blankets and more food and maybe one of those BBQ pits you put on the ground where we could make hotdogs!

So we were able to finish the pie + take photos before daylight ran out.
Here's the Coconut Cream Pie for Isaac's sister-in-law. It looks so cute!

I look not cute but hey, I'm wearing my favorite new dress!
Isaac and I have been in the kitchen all day. Now he's making Asian stir fry.

I was going to write a nice long entry but I've just gotten some bad news and now, truthfully, I'm not in the mood. I'll keep this short and sweet though. On another note, everyone in the city is getting ready for Hurricane Alex which may, or may not, hit us. It was and now apparently it's veered off so we are not sure. Are Isaac and I preparing? No! We are baking! Together we made a Coconut Cream Pie for his sister-in-law. After she tried some of my baking she really wanted me to make her something and she loves Coconut Cream Pie so that is what we made. I've never made it before but it was simple and hopefully she likes it! I have the filling chilling in the fridge. After that I made Double Deluxe Chocolate Cookies from the Tartine book. They're mine and my mother's favorite! They are perfect and soft and chewy and extremely rich. I used Guittard chocolate for these which I think is my new favorite baking chocolate. I made so many so now we have stacks and stacks of them!

I shall take some to the library tomorrow for my coworkers. They'll be very happy with that. Hopefully Isaac can take a photos of the pie when he takes it to his sister-in-law tomorrow so that I may post them here for you to see. I'll be sure to tell him.

Last night I made some brownies and topped them with marshmallows, dark chocolate chips and walnuts. I used organic eggs, sugar and flour and lots of delicious dark chocolate and they came out wonderful. I had one and then by the time I came home a bit ago there were only three left! I suppose they were a success! So all I had were three to photograph but I hope you enjoy them! I used the Baked: New Frontiers in Baking book which is one of my favorite baking books.
